THE CHURCHILL SOCIETY

London.

was formed on May 10th 1990 (50 years to the Day) after Churchill became Prime Minister.

The inauguration of the Society's web site was on Churchill's 121st Birthday - November 30th 1995.and greatly to the surprise of its founder has caused the society to become an international internet society.

The society's educational pages alone are visited annually by over 4 million young people
and visitors to the many other pages
are far in excess of anything imagined when the web site was created
and never fail to increase as each month goes by.

This poses many new and very interesting opportunities and problems -
not the least being the management of the society.

The Society is run by a Steering Committee.

Its first aims have been achieved.

They were the creation of the Society (1990).

The steering committee are now concentrating on the future management of the society
and its central goal: the building of

CHURCHILL HOUSE LONDON.

This cannot be achieved until the
reform of THE WINSTON CHURCHILL MEMORIAL TRUST has taken place.
